Winner Declared In South Carolina GOP Gubernatorial Runoff
Wilson’s victory reinforces the state’s strong commitment to America First principles and delivers a proven conservative warrior to the governor’s mansion.
He repeatedly praised President Donald Trump’s leadership and vowed to advance the America First agenda at the state level. Advertisement “I am honored to have the endorsement of President Donald J. Trump,” Wilson stated.
“President Trump has fought harder than anyone to secure our border, restore American strength, drain the swamp, protect our freedoms, and put working families first. Thank you, President Trump. I am grateful for your support, and I am ready to keep fighting for South Carolina,” Wilson added. Wilson, who has served as South Carolina’s top law enforcement official since 2011, campaigned on a platform of bold tax relief, border security, education reform, and rooting out government waste
“Together, we’ll eliminate the income tax, cut property taxes, fix our roads and bridges, put kids first, and root out fraud, waste, and abuse in government. Let’s finish the job,” Wilson added.

Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) endorsed him, praising his record of fighting for constitutional values and law and order.
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) also threw her support behind Wilson, stating she wanted a proven leader who would deliver for the state rather than rely on ceremonial roles.
“As a true son of South Carolina, I would be honored to earn your support,” he said earlier in the campaign
Additional conservative voices highlighted Wilson’s long-standing defense of Second Amendment rights, pro-life policies, and resistance to federal overreach.
Wilson has vowed to get to work immediately, focusing on economic growth, expanding school choice, and addressing illegal immigration and crime.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) appeared on Fox & Friends this week, where he took the opportunity to discuss significant issues affecting Americans as the country approaches the midterm elections.
Wilson’s strong conservative credentials earned him high-profile backing
“This will allow 60 days to get the details done, and the number-one condition has been that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon,” Johnson said.
“We’ll take care of the nuclear dust. We’ll get the Strait of Hormuz reopened, which will be great for gas prices here and stability around the world,” he continued.
“Let’s talk politics here,” interjected co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy.
The runoff followed a competitive primary where no candidate cleared 50%, but Wilson’s grassroots momentum and alignment with Trump’s agenda propelled him forward
“What does this mean for you and the midterms? Because I know this consumes your thoughts a lot,” she said.
“We put in all those conditions in the economy to let it take off like a rocket, and we were doing that at the beginning of the first quarter, and then the Iran skirmish began,” said the Speaker.
“So, when this settles down, gas prices come back down to earth, that means your grocery prices come down again because of transport costs and all the rest,” he said.
Johnson expressed that he is “very confident” President Trump will soon announce a peace deal with Iran
The kitchen table issues are gonna decide the midterms,” Johnson said.
“We’re super excited about the midterms. I’m absolutely convinced that we’re gonna grow the majority and get this done and make history,” he added.
