Here’s the One Tweet That Sums Up Why Thomas Massie Lost His Primary

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) lost his primary last night. His political career is over, and it’s likely that he will behave poorly until he leaves office, especially based on his concession speech. But he’s been fighting the GOP agenda anyway. So let him throw a tantrum—he’s finished. Many opinions will emerge regarding the reasons for his loss, with the consensus being that opposing President Trump was a significant mistake.

Massie’s district is strongly pro-Trump, and the voters there wanted someone who would actively promote the MAGA agenda. Massie failed to do this; he voted against the Trump tax cuts and border security.

He noted that Massie had previously fought and defeated Trump’s operatives with ease. So, what changed? Well, Massie changed, and the voters noticed (emphasis below is mine):
