House GOP Lawmaker Calls On Trump Admin to Remove Omar From U.S.

Rep. Randy Fine said Sunday that he supports former President Donald Trump’s call to expel Rep. Ilhan Omar from the United States, outlining plans to pursue action against the Minnesota Democrat. Speaking on Newsmax, Fine said his efforts would go beyond rhetoric and could lead to formal steps in Congress.

Trump had raised the issue during a rally in North Carolina, where he referenced allegations tied to a large-scale fraud investigation involving federal aid programs in Minnesota. He also repeated claims about Omar’s past that have circulated in various reports. Fine echoed these concerns, linking them to broader criticisms of immigration policy and government oversight.

“I don’t think Ilhan Omar should be expelled from Congress,” Fine said. “I think she should be expelled from the United States,” adding that he is working toward that goal. He indicated that the matter could be addressed on the House floor as part of a more formal process.

Fine also criticized Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, disputing his statements that there is no evidence supporting claims of widespread fraud. Fine argued that the alleged issues developed under Walz’s leadership and suggested similar concerns could exist in other states.

In addition, Fine said he is preparing legislation aimed at restricting access to public benefits, arguing that taxpayer-funded programs should be limited to U.S. citizens. He emphasized accountability and said he plans to continue addressing the issue in Congress.
